Feather Light
Joint and glue mortar system.
Product: Feather light is a factory-assembled lightweight adhesive / jointing mortar in one
Specific use: Feather light is used for gluing and simultaneous jointing of brick strips and tiles on surfaces of polystyrene façade insulation boards and hard mineral surfaces.
Characteristics: Feather light has a good adhesion, a very low water absorption and is permeable to water vapour. Ergonomic and very easy to process due to the light weight.

Processing temperature: Do not process Feather light if the outside temperature and / or the temperature of the material can reach + 5°C during processing and drying, maximum + 25°C measured on the façade
Method of application:
1 kg of Feather light is made with ± 380 grams of water and gives ± 1.3 litres of
adhesive.
Do not prepare more than can be applied within 30 minutes.
Mix gently to prevent excessive air intake.
Apply the joint / tile adhesive generously with a (comb) trowel.
Moisten highly absorbent brick strips with water, so that no water film is formed.
Press brick strips and / or tiles into the Feather light, so that the joint between the
brick strips or tiles is completely filled and comes well above the brick strips or
tiles.
Allow the Feather light to dry for some time (30 to 60 minutes) depending on the
circumstances, then remove the excess Feather light adhesive and press the
joints with a joint nail, possibly with a dry brush after brushing.
Make sure that the drying time of the joint remains as much as possible to
prevent colour differences.
Consumption: ± 2.5 / 3 kg per m².
The exact consumption depends on the joint depth and must be determined by means of a test surface.
Packing/Contents: In sacks of 15 kg.
Surface: The surface must be dry, free from dust, grease and powdery coats of paint. Highly-absorbing and smooth surfaces must be pre-treated with Stuc-contact
Storage: Store dry and free from moisture.
Remark: In the case of strong wind and bright sunlight, precautions against fast drying must be taken.
